BI Records Aceh MSME Business Commitment At Meseuraya Festival Reaches IDR 8.6 Billion
BANDA ACEH - Bank Indonesia (BI) Aceh Province said that during the 2023 Meseuraya Festival, the financing business matching for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was recorded at IDR 8.6 billion.
Head of the BI Representative for Aceh Province, Rony Widijarto, said that the business matching financing was created between MSME players in Aceh and four banks.
"Alhamdulillah, the participation of Islamic banking in Aceh during this event, there was a business matching of financing for MSME players with a total value of Rp. 8.6 billion from Bank Aceh Syariah, BSI, BTPN Syariah and Bukopin Syariah," said Rony, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 17.
BI held the 2023 Meseuraya Festival in order to expand the market reach of various handicraft products, fashion, and culinary products from the MSME sector in Aceh, in an effort to encourage economic growth in the Tanah Rencong area.
Meseuraya Festival also collaborated with the Aceh Culinery Festival, which was held by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Aceh Tourism and Culture Office. This event provides 72 MSME outlets at the Meseuraya Festival and 11 Nusantara MSMEs at the Aceh Culinary Festival.
He explained that the Meseuraya Festival is an effort by Bank Indonesia to encourage Aceh's economic growth through Aceh's creative works that support the proud movement made in Indonesia, as well as a series of Roads to Sharia Economic Festivals and the Indonesian Digital Financial Economy Festival (FEKDI).
Lasting for three days, continued Rony, Meseuraya Festival managed to record a total MSME turnover of around Rp800 million, through digital transactions using QRIS. With visitors present until Sunday, July 16 afternoon, around 7,500 people.
According to Rony, public interest is very high, and this is an opportunity to support MSMEs so that they continue to contribute to economic growth in Indonesia's westernmost province.
"This is also quite proud and gives us our optimism. During the activity, we have reached a sales turnover of Rp800 million and it is still ongoing, this is only at the Meseuraya Festival, not to mention at the Aceh Culinary Festival," he said.

In addition, continued Rony, the Meseuraya Festival and the Aceh Culinray Festival also recorded an ongoing cooperation agreement, namely the halal certification process for MSMEs in Aceh.
This is a collaboration between the Aceh Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) and the Aceh Ministry of Religion Regional Office.
"Currently, 5.491 MSMEs have been submitted for halal certification in Aceh," he said.
