Firearm Company C Yonif Raider Penajam Focuses On VVIP Security At IKN
PENAJAM - C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung Rifle Company, Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, focuses on securing VVIP (very imported person) in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) which is designated in parts of the area nicknamed Benuo Takaitu, namely Sepaku District.
'This is in line with the construction of IKN," said the Company Commander for Rifle C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung Captain Inf. Defry Rhamansyah in Penajam was reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.
During the construction of IKN, he said, the C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung rifle Company focused on securing VVIP visits by state officials at IKN Nusantara.
He said that as the unit closest to IKN, the C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung Rifle Company also maintains the security of territorial areas around the new capital city of Indonesia.
"In the IKN development process, the main task of securing VVIP is the visit of the president, vice president and presidential staff," he explained.
The C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung rifle company, he continued, is a combat unit with a strength of approximately 134 soldiers.
Currently, the C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung Rifle Company is under the control of Kodam VI/Mulawarman in Balikpapan City to mobilize troops to help Kodim 0913/Penajam Paser Utara.
According to him, there is a plan for the 600/Modang Petung Yonif Raider C Rifle Company, North Penajam Paser, to be expanded to the Mechanical Infantry Battalion with the existence of the new capital city of Indonesia.

With the expansion of the C Yonif Raider Raider 600/Modang Petung rifle Company to the Mechanical Infantry Battalion, the number of personnel will automatically increase to around 500 to 700 soldiers.
The C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung rifle company, North Penajam Paser has 24 hectares of land, enough to build a Mechanical Infantry Battalion.
However, there is still no certainty whether it will become a buffer battalion for IKN or Company for Rifle C Yonif Raider 600/Modang Petung, according to Defry Rhamansyah.
