Topolino EV, Citroen Ami's Latest Quadricycle

JAKARTA - The Italian automotive company, Fiat, has again introduced its latest innovation in the form of Topolino EV, an environmentally friendly and emission-free electric vehicle.

This electric vehicle is offered to all groups, even 14-year-old children are allowed to drive it thanks to its small size and easy use. The Fiat manufacturer is indeed targeting the youth market with this car.

Quoted from the Stellantis page on Tuesday, July 4, Fiat Topolino took the design of the Fiat 500 "Topolyno" produced by Fiat from 1936 to 1955. Said to be the "adik" of Fiat 500, this car carries a classic impression but with modern technology.

Fiat Topolino EV was built on the same platform as other Stellantis vehicles, namely Citroen Ami. Both mini cars have dimensions similar to 2,535 mm long, 1,530 mm high, and 1,400 mm wide.

The simple and minimalist exterior view of Fiat Topolino features small round headlights similar to Fiat 500, bemper chrome, and body smoother than Citroen Ami. While on the inside, Fiat provides two seats, small digital screens, USB ports, and storage boxes for luggage.

Under the engine hood, Fiat Topolino is powered by a single synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor with a front-wheel drive system. Even though it only has 7.8 dk of power, its performance is sufficient for urban areas with the highest speed of up to 45 km/hour. The performance advantage is also supported by the light weight of this car, only 562 kg.

Fiat Topolino uses a 5.5 kWh capacity battery that provides a range of up to 75 km with a single charge. This range is almost equivalent to his twin, Citroen Ami, which is only 1 km different.

Currently, Fiat Topolino is only available in one color variant, namely Verde Vita. However, Fiat has not disclosed information about the official price of this electric vehicle. As an illustration, his twin, Citroen Ami, sold for 8,095 pounds, or around Rp. 154.6 million.
