Susi Air Pilot Hostage: These Two KKB Requests Will Not Be Responded To By The Papuan Police Chief
JAKARTA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri stated that his party was ready to fulfill the request of the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya who took the pilot Susi Air hostage except for "merdeka and weapons".
"It is impossible for us to grant both requests, but for the money that was also requested, it will be prepared and handed over to Egianus Kogoya as long as the hostages who are New Zealand nationals were released and handed over to the security forces," said Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Fakhiri in Jayapura as reported by Antara, Thursday.
Admittedly, currently negotiations are still being carried out by involving various parties including the Egianus Kogoya family.
Through negotiations involving his family, it is hoped that Egianus Kogoya will be able to hand over his prisoners who have been held hostage since 7 February.
When asked about the threat from Egianus and his group to shoot his hostages, the Kapolda hoped it would not be done because it would have a broad impact.

"We hope that Egianus will not make any threats, namely shooting the Susi Air pilot on July 1," Fakhiri hoped while expressing his hopes that the family could help convince him not to execute his prisoners.
Indeed, there was a threat conveyed through social media stating that the KKB led by Egianus would shoot Philip who was held hostage shortly after landing his plane in Paro, Nduga Regency.
