Long Holiday, 191 Thousand Train Tickets Have Been Ordered From Daop 1 Station, Jakarta
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that around 191,000 tickets had been sold for departure during the 1444 H/2023 Eid Al-Fitr Holiday period from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen, as well as other stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area.
This amount is an accumulation of sales from 27 to 2 July. The majority of orders were made for the scheduled departure on a favorite date, namely 27, 28 and 29 June 2023.
Daily executive of Jakarta's Daop 1 Public Relations Manager Feni Novida Saragih said based on ticket data sold on these dates, the occupancy rate of passenger volume has reached 86 to 100 percent.
The highest volume of departing passengers was recorded on June 28, 2023, where the occupancy rate had reached 106 percent of the available seats," he said in an official statement, Thursday, June 29.
However, Feni said that the public does not need to worry, because on certain dates there are still quite a lot of train tickets available, such as June 29 and 30 as well as July 1 and 2.
The number of destination cities that are favorites include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Semarang, Tegal, Solo, and Bandung.
Feni said that based on observations of departures at Gambir Station, Pasar Senen, Bekasi, Cikarang and several other stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area on Thursday, June 29, 2023, there were 37,000 passengers.

The details are about 16,600 passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station with 31 train service operating, while passenger volume departing from Gambir Station reaches around 13,500 with 34 train service operating.
"The rest are departures from Jatinegara, Bekasi, Karawang, Jakarta City, Cikarang, and Cikampek Stations," he explained.
