Satpol PP Fines IDR 219 Million Violators Of Luxury Kost Permits In Setiabudi, South Jakarta

The DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) has imposed a fine of Rp. 219 million for violators of luxury boarding house permits in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, to provide a deterrent effect.

"The total fine of IDR 219,500,000 was recorded by violators to the State Treasury," said Head of Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Satpol PP, Tamo Sijabat, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 23.

Tamo said that this fine was included in the implementation of the judicial trial for violations of Regional Regulation (Perda) 8/2007 concerning Public Order.

The trial tried 15 files of violators of the results of the Integrated Supervision Operations of Orderly Licensing for the Implementation of Kost Houses held by the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP in early June.

"The owner of the house was proven to have violated the use of buildings that did not comply with the permit, did not have a permit according to the rules, and violated the provisions for paying taxes," he said.

Moreover, during the operation, it was also found that the owner of the boarding house did not report the occupants to the local RT management periodically.

In addition, the operation of the boarding house building, which is all in the form of a luxury building, has also changed to resemble hotel operations.

"The implementation of this judicial trial is expected by the owners of boarding houses to follow the applicable rules, especially in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," he said.

The judicial trial of violators of the luxury boarding house permit in the Setiabudi area was held at the South Jakarta District Court on Jalan Ampera Raya Pasar Minggu.
