Cooperatives In Banggai Continue To Be Known For Digitization So They Can 'Upgrade'
JAKARTA - Technological advances inevitably have to be adapted to cooperatives in Indonesia. Transformation from the old model to a new model that is more professional and modern through digitizing cooperatives should not become allergic.
Therefore, the Banggai Regency Cooperatives and SME Office held a Cooperative Digitization Training to strengthen the understanding of cooperative managers about the digitization of cooperatives.
"This training is the government's effort to support and optimize the implementation of digital platforms in the management of cooperatives in Banggai Regency so that cooperatives are able to rise and 'upgrade' to further stimulate community economic activities to be faster, and support national economic recovery," said Deputy Regent of Banggai Furquandin Masuli, in his statement, Thursday, June 22.
Furqanuddin said that this digitization aims to make cooperatives grow in line with other business entities. So cooperatives in the future, can have high sensitivity in business development so that they are more skilled in carrying out their business strategies so that sustainability is more secure.
For this reason, he also emphasized the importance of collaboration from various parties. Through the Regulation of the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Number 8 of 2021 concerning Cooperatives with Multi-Party Models, it opens up opportunities for the community to form cooperatives through collaboration of various parties in accordance with the role and scope of business in the cooperative forum," said Furqanuddin.
Head of the Banggai Regency Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Helena Agustina Padeatu, said that cooperative digitization training aims to improve and change cooperative management to digital and be able to create dynamic cooperatives and accelerate business movements.
"Digitalization is a means for cooperatives to be more optimal in playing a role in helping business actors and the community in obtaining access to capital and business development training so that they can continue to optimize this strategic role," said Helena.

Helena reported that the training, which was held for 3 days (13-15 June 2023), was attended by 25 participants who were cooperative administrators spread across 11 sub-districts in Banggai Regency.
On that occasion, the Banggai Cooperatives and SMEs Service presented the Deputy for Cooperatives at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Cecep Setiawan, as a resource person. He brought material about the use of technology in creating economic independence in cooperatives.
Meanwhile, material related to the use of digital media in the development of modern cooperatives was conveyed by the Head of the Public Information Management Division of the Banggai Regency Statistics and Educational Communications Office Ruslan Damau.
