In BNN Care, Drug Positive Baby In Samarinda Health Condition Improves
SAMARINDA - The Rehabilitation Center of the National Narcotics Agency of Tanah Merah Samarinda, East Kalimantan, is still treating three-year-old babies who are positive for drugs due to drinking water from used bottles used to smoke methamphetamine or bongs. "We have been treating their babies and mothers since June 12, 2023 until now," said Head of the Tanah Merah National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Rehabilitation Center Police Commissioner Sutarso quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21. Nursing is carried out on physical, psychological and psychosocial health aspects that include assessments (assession), laboratory examinations, and dental examinations, including psychological examinations in the form of child growth and development assessments. BNN's rehabilitation function has also carried out a series of therapies against these toddlers, including playing therapy, art therapy, and high-energy protein therapy to improve children's nutritional intake. "As for toddlers, personal counseling has been carried out, psycho-education of children under five children and psycho-education of a clean and healthy lifestyle," said Sutarso. After the series of therapies, Sutarso continued, the current state of toddlers has improved their health, a healthy physical condition without any symptoms of substance disorders and sleep patterns has also returned to normal. As for the psychological assessment results by the Red Land BNN Rehabilitation Center team, it shows that the growth and development of the toddlers is in accordance with their age.

Meanwhile, psychologically, emotional conditions tend to be stable, there has been a decrease in fear, worry, and anxiety compared to the initial conditions.
