JAKARTA - Controversial influencer Andrew Tate has been indicted in Romania on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women.Tristan's brother and two of his colleagues also face charges. All denied the allegations.Reporting from the BBC news, Tuesday, June 20, the Tate brothers were first arrested at their home in Bukares in December. In March, they were transferred to house arrest following a Romanian judge's decision.The indictment filed in the court of Bukares said the four defendants formed organized criminal groups in 2021 to carry out human trafficking in Romania, but also in other countries including the US and Britain.It was stated that seven victims were allegedly recruited by the Tate brothers through promises of love and fake marriage.The Romanian prosecutor's statement that the victim was allegedly taken to buildings in Ilfov district in Romania where they were intimidated, placed under constant surveillance and control and forced to owe.The defendants allegedly then forced the women to participate in pornography which was then shared on social media. Still from the prosecutor, a defendant was accused of raping a woman twice in March 2022.The defendant also confiscated assets, including property, cars and more than 300 million dollars (£235 million) in cryptocurrencies.
