28.3 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine Courier Arrested By Surabaya Police At Malang Station

Surabaya City Police (Polrestabes) have secured 28.3 kilograms of methamphetamine from a dealer.

Surabaya Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce said a dealer named Pendik Irawan or with the initials PN was arrested at the Kota Lama Malang Station, East Java.

"There is someone who ordered that the person concerned bring this narcotics to the city of Surabaya. We have been waiting in Surabaya. But the person concerned did not come down at Gubeng Station in Surabaya but continued to Malang City. We followed it until we finally arrested him at Kota Lama Malang Station," said Kombes Pasma as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

The police chief explained that the 40-year-old man from Batu City, East Java, used a rail transportation mode after taking crystal methamphetamine from another gang of dealers at a hotel in the Karawang area, West Java.

From the suitcase carried by the PN dealer when getting off the train at Kota Lama Malang Station, apart from securing evidence in the form of 28.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine packaged in 27 packs of tea with a label bearing Chinese letters.

The police also confiscated 10 thousand pills of ecstasy in two plastic packages, which are planned to be circulated in East Java.

"We are still pursuing someone who ordered him to distribute these narcotics in East Java," said Kombes Pasma.

The police are still developing an investigation to uncover other syndicates of perpetrators suspected of originating from a narcotics trafficking network in the Sumatra region.

Meanwhile, the PN courier to investigators admitted that they had only been involved in the circulation of narcotics from the network twice.

"Each of them is promised a commission of Rp. 100 million," said Kombes Pasma Royce.
