Police Investigate Causes Of Mass Poisoning Of ASN In Kendari After Eating Chicken Soto
KENDARI - Kendari City Police (Polresta), Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) investigated the cause of alleged mass poisoning that dozens of state civil servants (ASN) in Kendari City experienced vomiting and dizziness after eating chicken soup.
The alleged poisoning of dozens of ASN in Kendari City occurred at the Agricultural Instrument Standard Implementation Center (BPSIP) located on Jalan Prof. M. Yamin, Puuwatu, Puuwatu District, Kendari City.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kendari Police, AKP Fitrayadi, said that his party had carried out investigative steps by taking samples of food and vomit that would be examined in a forensic laboratory.
"What we confiscated for examination now is food consumed by victims in the form of chicken soup, chicken rice cake and vomit," he said.
In addition, the police have also moved quickly to examine a number of witnesses, ranging from ASN who were victims of poisoning, to the owner of the "catering".
"This food comes from one of the food catering in Kendari City which we will also develop and examine," he explained.

Fitrayadi explained that at the beginning the victims were poisoned where at that time ASN were carrying out promotion activities for civil servants. After this activity, participants enjoyed food in the form of soup.
"About two hours later, these people simultaneously experienced dizziness, nausea and vomiting," he explained.
As a result of this incident, everyone who experienced the complaint was rushed to the Puuwatu Health Center for medical treatment.
"Because the Puuwatu Health Center was unable to accommodate all the victims, some of them were moved to the Sarlinasaf Clinic which is not far from the Puuwatu Health Center," he explained.
