Kuli Claims To Be Hungry Until Stealing Charity Boxes, Police Say His Body Is Still Strong

A construction worker named Asnal Al Fauzi (41), a resident from Magelang Regency, Central Java, was forced to deal with the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

He was arrested after being caught on CCTV breaking into the Al Istikbal Mosque charity box, Jalan Krendang Selatan, RT 10/06, Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta. The perpetrator Asnal was arrested on Monday, June 19 at around 08.30 WIB.

"The suspect admitted that he stole a charity box to buy food. Even though this perpetrator is still handsome, healthy and 40 years old," said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama when confirmed by VOI, Monday, June 19.

Currently, the police are still calculating the amount of money stolen by the perpetrators from inside the charity box of the Istikbal Mosque for confiscation of evidence. The police also confiscated evidence of CCTV footage of the mosque.

"Based on the perpetrator's confession, he has committed theft in two different mosques," he added.

The perpetrator is known to work as a construction worker. Currently, the perpetrator is still undergoing examination in the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit room. As a result of his actions, the perpetrator is threatened with Article 362 of the Criminal Code.
