The Minister Of SOEs Regarding The Alleged Waskita-Wika Dipoles Financial Report: We Take Strict Legal Actions

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized that the ministry under his leadership will not be selective against state-owned companies entangled in legal cases.

Including the company PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.

Erick emphasized that he would take firm action if the issuers coded WSKT and WIKA shares were proven to manipulate their financial reports.

"That's what I said that when there is manipulation of financial reports, we also commit Garuda criminally. Likewise, if there are fake financial reports, not only in Waskita and Wika, we will definitely do what is called a crackdown," he said when met at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Thursday, June 15.

"I don't think we should look at the hair if the legal issues are of course the public's trust falls, especially if it violates," he continued.

Previously, the Ministry of SOEs smelled something was wrong in the financial statements of state-owned companies in the work sector. This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR on June 5.

The man who is familiarly called Tiko revealed that apart from Waskita Karya, his party suspected that apart from Waskita Karya, PT Wijaya Karya's financial report was also polished.

Furthermore, Tiko said, the financial statements of the two companies seemed to benefit for years. Even though the facts that occur on the ground are different.

Therefore, said Tiko, the Ministry of SOEs together with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) are conducting searches and investigations related to this matter.
