West Java Governor Waits For Ministry Of Religion And MUI's Directions On Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil is waiting for directions from the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) and the Central Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) regarding pros and cons related to activities at the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Indramayu Regency, West Java.
"We are waiting for a fatwa from the MUI, roughly if the fatwa states that there must be religious action, the West Java government will carry out a measure," said Ridwan Kamil in Bandung City as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 15.
He admitted that he had coordinated with a number of agencies regarding the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, considering that the matter related to fiqh was in the MUI.
Kang Emil assessed that the first thing that needed to go down to overcome the pros and cons was the Ministry of Religion. This agency can implement policies through its regional offices in West Java based on applicable laws.
"Because religious matters are then fiscal matters, foreign relations, justice, defense and security are the territory of the central government," he said.
In addition, Ridwan Kamil internally is still close to the actions that need to be taken regarding the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.

Today there was a demonstration at the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, which was held by the Indramayu Sue Forum. So that the Indramayu Resort Police (Polres), West Java deployed 1,200 personnel to secure the action.
"We have deployed approximately 1,200 personnel to secure the demonstration held by the Indramayu Sue Forum," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar.
Fahri said that his party received two letters related to demonstrations or demonstrations conducted by the two camps regarding the existence of the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
