KPK Reminds Suspect In Corruption Case Tukin ESDM Responds To KPK Calls Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the suspect in the corruption case of performance allowance corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to fulfill the investigator's summons today. They must be held accountable for their actions.

"We remind the cooperative suspects to attend to fulfill the summons of the investigative team," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, June 14 evening.

Ali said there were 10 suspects in this case. "We schedule a summons," he said.

The KPK previously investigated allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources which ensnared 10 people. It is suspected that the allowance money was deducted and entered a private pocket.

The amount of money deducted has not been given in detail by the KPK. However, it is suspected that tens of billions of money were enjoyed by the perpetrators, including for operational costs to support the examination process of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

In investigating this allegation, KPK investigators have conducted a search. This enforcement activity continues to be carried out, including at the Office of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Jalan Merdeka Selatan, to Pakubuwono Apartment, Menteng.
