The COVID-19 Field Hospital In Bogor Has Almost Half Filled With Capacity
JAKARTA - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said that currently the occupancy of the COVID-19 patient care bed at the GOR Pajajaran field hospital has been filled 45 percent or almost half of the available capacity.
Since operating on January 18, until now, patients with mild and moderate symptoms who are being treated at the field hospital have been filled with 29 people from a capacity of 64 beds.
"There are 7 IGD beds, 2 ICUs, then 50 beds for negative isolation pressure with a total of about 64 there. This morning I checked the occupancy level of 29," Bima said in a discussion at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Monday, January 25.
Bima said, if later the number of patients treated at the Bogor field hospital would increase again, the Bogor City Government would increase the number of health workers who treated him.
"Currently there are 225 health workers, consisting of specialist doctors, general practitioners, nurses, and other employees. We are still looking after this, because if for example a patient is full up to 64, we have to add more health workers," said Bima.
Bima said that his party was preparing an independent isolation hotel for COVID-19 patients with the category of symptomatic people (OTG).
Because, he said, currently many COVID-19 cases have been forced to self-isolate at home because of difficulties in obtaining treatment facilities.
As a result, when residents do not get an isolation area and are forced to stay at home, it will have the potential to increase cases of the COVID-19 cluster in the family sphere.
"There are hotels that are now in the process of being accelerated to be used as a place for isolation for people without symptoms. So, not at home because it is because at home that the danger cannot be controlled," he said.
