Cooperating With SUN Energy, Blue Bird Installs Rooftop PLTS With A Capacity Of 215.6 KWp
JAKARTA - PT Blue Bird Tbk installs solar panels or rooftop Solar Power Plants (PLTS) at the Blue Bird Jakarta Headquarters Building.
Deputy President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk Adrianto (Andre) Djokosoetono said, Blue Bird is ready to optimize smart solar panels with a power of 215.6 kWp which is projected to reduce more than 2,000 tons of carbon emissions per year.
He added that the company's initiative to use solar energy is one of the efforts to improve environmental quality that had been carried out earlier by adopting environmentally friendly vehicles and implementing the 3R initiative.
"We realize that emission reduction to make air quality healthier can be done in various ways, one of which is by making a clean energy transition by utilizing sunlight which we project can reduce 2,000 tons of carbon emissions per year," said Andre in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 13.
He continued, the launch of the solar panel system for this company was supported by the abundance of renewable energy resources in Indonesia with unlimited solar energy.
In addition, Blue Bird's carbon emission reduction mission is also in line with the government's efforts through the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources as stated in Presidential Regulation no. 55/2019 concerning the 2019 National Energy Policy which targets a 23 percent renewable energy mix by 2025.
