Police Unload Cases Of Trafficking In Minors Become Prostitutes In Bogor
The ranks of the Bogor City Police Satreskrim managed to uncover cases of trafficking in minors who were employed as Commercial Sex Employees (PSK) in the Bogor City area.
Of the six cases that were uncovered, the police managed to secure 9 suspected pimps from this incident. Where, two of the suspects are minors.
"That there have been 6 cases of disclosure by the Bogor City Police, and 9 people for the suspect," said Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso in his statement, Tuesday, June 13.
"Of the 9 suspects, 7 adults and 2 ABH (Anah Faced with Law). The cases have been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office and the Court," he continued.
According to the Bogor City Police Chief, of the six cases that were successfully dismantled, there were as many as six children who were traded or exploited economically or sexually, in the sense of being victims.
"These are all underage victims. So women who are economically and sexually exploited by the perpetrators," said Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso.
Meanwhile, continued by the Bogor City Police Chief, there are several modes that pimps use to lure victims. One of them, communicate through social media, and offer jobs by getting a salary.
"Some are offered as waiters. This is persuasion or lure to convince the victim. The lure is Rp4-5 million per month," added Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso.
Meanwhile, said the Bogor City Police Chief, based on the results of the interrogation carried out, the victims admitted to serving as many as five guests or customers per day at a rate of IDR 250-350 thousand.
"If it is calculated from Rp. 7 million per week, that is 3 million by the child (victim) and the rest by the perpetrators who trade," he explained.
"These perpetrators offer the masher through the michat application," continued Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso.
For his actions, added the Bogor City Police Chief, the 9 pimps were charged with Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection Number, and Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) with a maximum threat of 15 years..
"The threat of imprisonment is 3 years and a maximum of 15 years," said Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor City KPAID, Dede Siti Amanah, who was also present in this activity, appreciated what the Bogor City Police had done.
This is because TIP is the second largest criminal act in the world that is currently happening, including in Indonesia which has become a national issue.
"We appreciate the police's steps. And we KPAID urge the public, especially parents or adults, to be more vigilant and sensitive to all changes that occur in children. So if there is something suspicious, they must start to be sensitive," concluded the Head of KPAID Bogor City.
It is known, of the six cases that were successfully uncovered by the police, there were five locations where the case of trafficking for minors became prostitutes.
