Pikap Driver Becomes Suspect In Deadly Accident Kills 4 People In Malang
Malang Police, East Java named a pickup driver with the initials D (40) as a suspect in an accident that left four people dead.
Malang Police Traffic Head AKP Agnis Juwita Manurung said the accident that resulted in the death of four people was purely due to the negligence of the driver. "We have asked for information, from the evidence we have collected, we have named him a suspect and have been detained," Agnis said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.
Agnis explained, based on the results of the latest crime scene (TKP), the suspicion of a broken accretion incident on a pickup truck suspected to be the trigger for the accident was not found. According to him, the condition of the pickup vehicle numbered N 8315 EJ was not problematic. At that time, the driver drove the vehicle at high speed during the rain in the Pakis District area, which resulted in a loss of control. "Purni from the driver who was negligent and did not concentrate on the weather at that time was drizzling rain. The speed is more than 70 kilometers per hour," he said.
The Malang Police Traffic Unit has also examined three witnesses in the incident. Meanwhile, for one other survivor, no information has been asked because he is still undergoing treatment at the hospital. Previously, four people were reported to have died as a result of an accident that occurred on Jalan Raya Asrikaton, Pakis District, Malang Regency, East Java, Sunday (11/6). The incident began when a pickup truck with number N 8315 EJ driven by a man with the initials D drove fast from west to east which then swerved to the right and crashed into three units of two-wheeled vehicles from the opposite direction. Riders and passengers from three units of motorized vehicles with number N 4548 ABY, N 3485 GAA and S 4240 ST became victims in that incident. Three people who drove using motorbike number N 4548 ABY died at the scene. The three victims had the initials SR (50), KU (39) who were a husband and wife couple and SH aged 17 months and were children of the couple. The three are residents of Blimbing District, Malang City. Then, one other victim died, namely a man aged 29 years with the initials NI residents of Jabung District, Malang Regency. The victim was also reported to have died at the scene of the incident. Meanwhile, one victim suffered a broken right leg, named Zidny Nur Diana Islami, a resident of Sumberpasir Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, East Java and received treatment at the Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Malang City.
