Ganjar Asks For Gen Z's Work, Millennials And Influencers To Register Intellectual Property Rights
JAKARTA - The PDIP presidential candidate (Readpres), Ganjar Pranowo, voiced the importance of registering intellectual property rights for generation Z or gen Z, influencers, and millennials in North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
Ganjar believes that the younger generation has great potential to create innovative works for Indonesia's progress in the North Sumatra region. However, they often miss the importance of protecting the National Intellectual Property (HKI).
"Very, very important. So earlier, my friends, content creators, they have one product, designer, there are those who create songs, so there must be awareness of the right to intellectual property. Register, because it is easy, and not expensive," said Ganjar.
This was conveyed by Ganjar at a hangout event with thousands of people consisting of generation Z or gen Z, millennials and influencers at Warung Kudeta Mutiara Palace, Jl. Selamat Ketaren, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Sunday (11/6/2023) night. Ganjar emphasized the importance of registering intellectual property rights, such as copyright, patents, and trademarks, to protect their original works. By registering intellectual property rights, the younger generation will have greater advantages in developing and monetizing their works. In addition, this step will also encourage the growth of a healthy innovation ecosystem in North Sumatra.
"Today they can meet young people, who they turn out to think are very creative, some of them turn out to think they are very new, they don't like conventional work, they like breaking through, they use their creativity and innovation," said the Governor of Central Java for two periods.
