North Sumatra NU Leaders Invite Ulama To Pray For Ganjar So That Their Intentions Are Granted
After attending the party consolidation, the candidate for PDIP president Ganjar Pranowo took the time to meet the figure of Nahdlatul Ulama Abuya Ali Akbar Marbun at the Al Kautsar Islamic Boarding School, Medan, Sunday, June 11. Ganjar's arrival was warmly welcomed by Abuya Ali Akbar Marbun.
Ganjar was immediately invited by Abuya Ali Akbar Marbun to enter his residence. In fact, the PDIP seed in the 2024 presidential election was invited to enter his room, before being invited to eat together.
Ganjar also took the time to meet hundreds of students, a number of religious leaders, community leaders and scholars who were present at the event. Ganjar and Abuya looked familiar, the two of them walked hand in hand.
"This afternoon we have the honor of being visited by the Governor of Central Java, Pak Ganjar Pranowo. I would like to thank Pak Ganjar, who is willing to attend this place," said Abuya Ali Akbar.
Abuya added that he just wanted to welcome Ganjar with his family and students. However, the news of Ganjar's arrival has been heard, so many want to come to the place.
"That's why, even though I have prepared quite a lot of places, but it turns out that there are still fewer people in Medan in North Sumatra, if you know you want to come here, all of you want to come from various regions," he explained.
Abuya also gave a special gift to Ganjar. He gave a special ulos cloth, because the ulos cloth was not just an ulos.
"This is a special ulos cloth, his name is Raja Ulos. This is a form of our respect for the guests who came to Medan. On this occasion I also invite all of us to pray for Pak Ganjar so that his (presidential) intention is granted by Allah," he concluded.

Ganjar also expressed his gratitude for Abuya Ali Akbar Marbun's warm welcome to him. He did not expect that his arrival to stay in touch was greeted by thousands of people, including scholars, interfaith leaders and the general public.
"Abuya, thank you, this welcome is extraordinary. God willing, maybe I can come here again, want to know more, recite more with Buya in order to get guidance on how life goes well and so that everyone is happy," said Ganjar.
Ganjar said that in fact he had often met Abuya Ali Akbar Marbun. However, the meeting took place during the invitation.
"So earlier I entered his residence, there was a photo of me and Buya during the invitation. I promise to ask him for a long time, and thank God it can be realized today," he said.
This meeting, Ganjar continued, was very special. Because, he was greeted by many religious leaders and community leaders.
