Drowning On Sukabumi White Sand Beach, Tourists From Jakarta Are Missing
SUKABUMI - One South Jakarta tourist has not been found after drowning on Pasir Putih Beach, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. While the other three people survived.
"One of the four victims who drowned on the beach in Pangumabahan Village, Ciracap District is still being searched for by the joint SAR team. Meanwhile, the other three victims survived," said Head of the Sukabumi Regency Regional SAR Coordination Forum (FKSD) Okih Pajri Assidiqie quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 9.
The one victim who has not been found is named Romico (28), a resident of Ulumjami Village, RT 06/03, Ulumjami Village, Pasanggrahan District, South Jakarta.
Meanwhile, three survivors, namely Deri Anggara (30) residents of Jalan H Ridi, RT 07/03 and Reyphaldi Chaniago (23) residents of Jalan H Mairim, Ulumjami Village, Pasanggrahan District and Awaludin Umar (29) residents of Jalan Suadarma, Ulumjami Village, Pasanggrahan District, South Jakarta.
According to information gathered from the SAR team, the marine accident began when the four victims played in the Pasir Putih Beach area. Initially their holiday activities were not a problem.
However, the disaster came when the four were busy taking selfies on the beach while swimming. Those who did not realize the arrival of the big waves that immediately swept the bodies of these youths from South Jakarta.

Three victims, namely Deri, Awaludin and Reyphaldi managed to save themselves and pulled over to the coast, but unfortunately Romico's body was carried away by the ocean currents to the middle and soon disappeared from sinking.
The victim who panicked saw a colleague missing drowned then asked for help from local residents and soon the joint SAR team arrived at the scene to conduct a sweep at the scene of the accident.
"Until now, dozens of SAR personnel and volunteers have been at the location to coordinate and monitor the beach to anticipate the victim's body to appear at sea level. The three victims survived when their condition still looked traumatized and had been directed to rest," he added.
Okih said the search would resume on Saturday, (10/6) morning, but for technical purposes, SAR operations are still being coordinated, but if the weather supports it, it conducts a search in the middle of the sea and partly searches on land.
