PLN Nusantara Power Youth 5 PLTS In The East Indonesia Islands
JAKARTA - PLN Nusantara Power as the largest generating subholding in Indonesia continues to encourage the achievement of electrification in Indonesia to reach 100 percent, through the rehabilitation project of five Solar Power Plants (PLTS) spread across eastern Indonesia's archipelago.
The five PLTS are located in the North Sulawesi islands. The details are PLTS Bunaken, PLTS Miangas, PLTS Marampit, PLTS Marore, and PLTS Makalehi.
The rehabilitation of these five PLTS is a collaboration with the Main Unit of the North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo Regions (UIW Sulutenggo) PT PLN (Persero). The total capacity of these five PLTS is 925 kWp or equivalent to the total number of customers reaching 1,394 households.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, said that his party fully supports 100 percent electrification in Indonesia so that all Indonesian people can easily and comfortably enjoy the light of electricity, including to the outermost archipelago.
Our experience and competence in the field of renewable energy are unquestionable. The rehabilitation of PLTS in the North Sulawesi archipelago is also intended to achieve 100 percent electrification in Indonesia," Ruly said in an official statement, Friday, June 9.
Ruly said, in addition to PLN NP's main ability to produce quality electricity, PLN NP also has other competencies, namely, Green Power Solution. Through Green Power Solution, PLN Nusantara Power has advantages in the field of operation and maintenance of Solar Power Plants (PLTS).
In addition, continued Ruly, it also aims to realize the energy transition in Indonesia through the Solar Panel Project and also accelerate the energy transition and reduce carbon demmi emissions in the achievement of net zero emissions by 2060.

Prior to rehabilitation, PLN NP conducted an assessment and investigation at PLTS to find problems considering the age of several components in the PLTS has reached more than 5 years. This rehabilitation project is intended to restore operating hours from PLTS of approximately 40 percent of the total initial power and is planned to be completed in August 2023.
General Manager of PLN UIW Sulutenggo, Ari Dartomo also appreciated the slick collaboration established with PLN NP. According to him, PLN NP has the ability and experience to manage and maintain at PLTS.

For your information, North Sulawesi itself has an energy mix sourced from New Renewable Energy (EBT) which has reached more than 40 percent of which is one of the contributions from Solar Power Plants (PLTS).
