In The Midst Of The Flood Disaster In South Kalimantan, This Man Was Desperate To Order Hundreds Of Grams Of Marijuana

JAKARTA - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan) has succeeded in uncovering a package of marijuana in the midst of a major flood that hit the area.

Head of the South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency, Brigadier General Jackson Arison, said that a package of cannabis weighing 640 grams arrived in South Kalimantan on Friday, 22 January. The perpetrators took advantage of the officers' busyness in handling the floods.

"The origin of the shipment was North Sumatra. Apparently the perpetrator took advantage of the negligence of the officers who were busy in overcoming the floods, so he admitted that he deliberately ordered marijuana when the flood hit South Kalimantan," he explained.

The officer had secured the goods with the initials ER (33) when he took the order at Jalan Gunung Kupang, Cempaka Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City.

The disclosure of the circulation of marijuana stems from the information received by BNN that there will be shipments from outside the province.

The team led by the Head of the South Kalimantan BNNP Investigation Section, Kompol Yanto Suparwito together with members of the Eradication Division conducted a deepening of the information obtained from the community.

The results of the investigation showed that marijuana would be sent via an expedition service on an order by someone in the city of Banjarbaru who was immediately arrested by officers when receiving the goods.

"The suspect charged with 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary 111 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics. Currently the team is conducting deepening for network development," Jackson concluded.
