Rolled By Ombak, Fishermen On The West Coast Of Lampung Reported Missing
The WEST COASTAL - National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) together with Polairud Pesisir Barat Police and local fishermen, continues to search for missing fishermen in the waters of the West Coast, Lampung.
"Until now, the missing fishermen victims have not been found, they are still being searched for by Polairud and Basarnas," said SAR Tanggamus Post Coordinator Hendra, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 5.
In carrying out the search, his party has deployed a rescue team of the Tanggamus SAR Post to go to the location.
"After the information we received yesterday the team went straight to the location and joined the joint SAR to carry out search and rescue operations," he said.
The joint SAR team was divided into two, namely the first team using a jukung with a double stabilizer and searching for Pekon (Village) Biha to the scene, while the second team conducted a sweep along the coast.
He explained that the chronology of the incident began last Sunday, at around 06.00 WIB the victim, on behalf of Apriansah and his colleague, Edwar, went to the sea to fish using a ketek boat.

"About 200 meters from the boat port used by the victim Apriansah and witness Edwar were hit by a big wave which resulted in the balance of the victim's broken boat and the witness bounced off the boat and fell," he said.
Witness Edwar was able to grab the boat back and get on the boat, while Apriansah was rolled by the waves and drowned.
