Allegedly Short Circuit, Plaza Lippo Ekalokasari Bogor Caught Fire
BOGOR - Plaza Lippo Ekalokasari Bogor was reported to have caught fire on the evening of Sunday, June 4. Visitors panicked and evacuated.
Communication Plaza Lippo Ekalokasari, Taufan said the fire incident occurred in a storage warehouse on the top floor of the plaza and occurred at around 20.00 WIB.
"It happened at around 20.20 and there were still some visitors at the plaza and we immediately evacuated according to the procedure," said Taufan when contacted, Sunday night.
He said, the position of the burning warehouse is on the third or fifth floor if it is calculated from the basement floor.
"We also reported to the Bogor City Fire Department and the fire was extinguished about 30 minutes later. However, the puff of smoke was still coming out of the warehouse and officers were cooling down," said Taufan.
For the alleged material for the loss of plaza management, we have not been able to predict and related to the operation of the shopping center and then waiting for the assessment and the Fire Department.
"Losses cannot be calculated, while for plaza operations, we are waiting for an assessment from the Damkar," added Taufan.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Fire Department at the Bogor City Fire and Rescue Service, Ade Nugraha, said that as many as five fire engines were deployed to extinguish the fire after receiving reports.
"As of 22.00 WIB, officers are still cooling down and trying to get smoke from the building," said Ade.
