Hundreds Of Employees Were Laid Off, Police Asked To Stop Investigating PT BEP Cases
The reporter for the alleged forgery of the company deed at PT Batuah Energi Prima (BEP), Eko Juni Anto, withdrew his report to the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police Headquarters.
The application for the letter of revocation of the investigation was carried out after Eko as the former Director of PT BEP decided to amicably with the reported party, namely Erwin Rahardjo as Director of PT BEP.
Eko explained that the reason for withdrawing the report, apart from the two parties being peaceful, was because now hundreds of PT BEP workers have been laid off because the company is not operating.
The mining business, which has been running for almost a year, has now stopped because of a police report made by the former director when the company was declared bankrupt.
"I ask the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters to stop investigating the people I have reported so that PT BEP can operate properly, because the problem with PT BEP is currently because it has an impact on the company's operations and has resulted in hundreds of employees unable to work," said Eko Juni Anto to reporters, Friday, June 2.
Meanwhile, the reason for Eko's peace and the reported party for the appointment of bankruptcy against PT Batuah Energi Prima has had a very good impact on him.
"Moreover, all PT Batuah Energi Prima obligations to third parties have been taken over by the new directors of PT BEP after the bankruptcy appointment of PT Batuah Energi Prima," he said.
Following up on the efforts to withdraw the case he filed, on February 7, 2023, Eko through his appointed attorney, Noble Law Firm has sent a letter requesting the termination of the investigation.
