Criticism Of Horseshoe Beautification, Observer: Pak Anies More Paradox, Counterproductive
JAKARTA - Public Policy Observer Trubus Rahadiansyah criticized the policy of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in beautifying the roof tiles of residents around the Horseshoe Flyover, Lenteng Agung.
Apart from being wasteful of the DKI Provincial Government's budget, a popular policy called the beautification of the area has no urgency for the people of Jakarta.
"I don't think there is any urgency either, especially now in a pandemic era. To be more precise, he calls it a waste," Trubus said when contacted by VOI, Friday, January 22.
According to Trubus, Anies should focus on development or policies that prioritize public interests.
For example, the arrangement of slum villages, Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Rp0 down payment (DP) for houses or the OkeOce program, which then continued to campaign.
Moreover, the people of Jakarta are facing economic difficulties as a result of being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) states that DKI Jakarta is the province with the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia.
"The threat of flooding is also real. The provincial government should coordinate with the buffer areas, whether to build labor-intensive projects because it provides income to the community,"
"In the past, it seemed populist, now it is not populist anymore. Pak Anies is more paradoxical now, counterproductive. I want him to be on track like during the previous campaign promise that he is a humanist, populist. Moreover, his background is also a lecturer," said Trubus.
