Bappenas Sets 5 Targets For Indonesia's Vision Of Gold 2045, Here's The List

JAKARTA - The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) has set five targets for the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045 which has been formulated in the Draft Law (RUU) for the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN).

"Hopefully, in future development planning, a general picture can be obtained for all stakeholders, all government planners or administrators to realize the ideals of an independent Indonesia contained in the Constitution," said Minister of National Development Planning (PPN) as well as Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa in Jakarta, Monday, May 29.

In its first vision, Bappenas targets Indonesia to achieve per capita income equivalent to developed countries by 2045, namely Gross National Revenue (PNB) or GNI reaching 30,300 US dollars, contribution from maritime Domestic Product (GDP) of 17.5 percent, and contribution from GDP to industry 28.0 percent.

Second, Indonesia targets poverty at 0 percent by 2024. In more detail, Suharso said the poverty target is in the range of 0.5 percent to 0.8 percent, the Gini ratio is 0.290 to 0.320, and the contribution of eastern Indonesia (KTI) to GDP is 26.0 percent, in order to reduce social and economic inequality.

"We want the poverty we can suppress to close to 0 percent, if poverty can be emphasized, it means that we can suppress unemployment, because it means that job opportunities are still wide," he said.

In the third vision, the government targets Indonesia's leadership and influence in the international world to increase, marked by the largest Global Power Index in 2024.

Fourth, the competitiveness of human resources increases with the Human Capital Index (HCI) at 0.73.

On the fifth vision, Indonesia will head for net zero emissions or zero carbon emissions with a decrease in greenhouse gases of 93.5 percent, by 2045.

Furthermore, Suharso said there were eight agendas for Indonesia's transformation to lead to Indonesia Gold 2045. The agenda is divided into three main frameworks that include the Transformation of Indonesia, the Transformation Land, and the Transformation Implementation Framework.

In the framework of Indonesia's Transformation, the government prioritizes social transformation, economic transformation, and governance transformation.

Then, within a framework, the Transformation Land includes the rule of law, stability, and resilience of diplomacy.

In the framework of the Implementation of Transformation, it includes regional development that is equitable and quality, quality and environmentally friendly infrastructure, and sustainability in development.

In the near future, the RPJPN Bill will be submitted by Bappenas to the DPR, which is expected to be passed as law in September 2023, or about one month before the registration of presidential-vice presidential candidate pairs in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Thus, the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision can be used as a guide for the programs offered by the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.
