Another Special Match For Manchester United
JAKARTA - Manchester United have struggled to restore their glory throughout the 2022/2023 season. Under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils began to crawl to get back up.
Having previously won the English League Cup, MU has also sealed a ticket to the Champions League competition next season. However, there is still one special battle for Bruno Fernandes and friends, namely against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
"We have fought all year to be in this position, to win titles and we will try everything to try to win," said United goalkeeper David De Gea.
De Gea and his teammates were at Carrington on Monday morning. They are focused on recovering after picking up a 2-1 comeback win against Fulham at Old Trafford last weekend.
Kenny Tete had given the visitors the lead, and even almost added to the lead had De Gea not stopped Aleksandar Mitrovic's penalty.
MU then got up and scored two goals through the actions of Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes. Two goals made the Red Devils beat Newcastle United in the race for the third position.
"I was very positive. I felt like 'come on, you have to save this penalty, we have to finish the season well at home, we have to win'. Then I made the save, everyone was happy, and enjoyed and I helped the team to win three points today this," said De Gea.

"So, yeah, we showed it again. 1-0 down, suffered a bit, but then we created chances and could have scored more than two goals. But like I said, what a great way to finish the season with a win and (it) give the fans a little bit of fun."
The results in the last match of 2022/2023 English Premier League made MU equal the club record of 27 home wins in all competitions in one season. In addition, MU also finished 17 points better than last season.
"100 percent, there is definitely an improvement," De Gea told MUTV. “Of course, we still have room for improvement but, yes, massive improvement from last season.
"Winning cups, finishing third - it's never easy to finish in the Champions League places in England. And then we have another final, a big final, so I think it's been a great year," he continued.
