Spaso Appreciated Shin Tae-Yong For Calling U-19 Players

JAKARTA - Indonesian national team striker Ilija 'Spaso' Spasojevic appreciated coach Shin Tae-Yong for calling four U-19 national team players to the training camp (TC) of the Indonesian national team squad. The TC took place on 14-23 February 2020 in Jakarta.

According to the 32-year-old player, the presence of this young footballer is important for regeneration in the national team.

“It's great that they are here. I am happy that there is a regeneration of players, ”said Spaso at the Gelora Bung Karno Intermediate Stadium, Jakarta, Sunday, February 16.

The four U-19 national team players who are in the TC national team are Irfan Jauhari, Alfeandra Dewangga, Pratama Alif and Muhammad Adi Satrio.

They were called up to the senior squad because they were judged by the manager of the Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-Yong to show great potential when undergoing the U-19 national team TC in Thailand at the end of January 2020.

Spaso assessed that the four players have shown hard work and can mingle with other experienced figures in the national team.

“They all work hard. We as senior players accept everything, it doesn't matter whether they are the U-19 national team or not, "said Spaso.

The Indonesian national team is undergoing a TC which will take place on 14-23 February 2020 at the Gelora Bung Karno Intermediate Stadium, Jakarta. The activity was held in preparation for the Group G 2022 World Cup qualification match in the Asian zone.

The closest qualification agenda, Indonesia will face Thailand on March 26, 2020. Five days later, on March 31, 2020, Indonesia will host the United Arab Emirates.
