64 Villages In Majalengka Hold Simultaneous Pilkades 2023, 1,002 Security Officers Deployed
JABAR - Police dispatched 1,002 joint security officers to oversee the simultaneous village head elections (Pilkades) in 2023 in Majalengka
"We have distributed this joint task force to provide guarantees of a sense of security for all people, especially in villages that will carry out the Pilkades," said Majalengka Police Chief AKBP Indra Novianto in Majalengka, West Java (West Java), Friday, May 26, confiscated by Antara.
Indra said the joint officers who were alerted would later guard every village carrying out the Pilkades.
He explained that the strength of the joint security personnel for the simultaneous Pilkades in 2023 in Majalengka Regency was a total of 1,002 personnel consisting of the Majalengka Police 618 personnel, West Java Police Mobile Brigade BKO 120 personnel, TNI Kodim 0617 Majalengka 104 personnel, and Majalengka Regency Satpol PP 140 personnel.
"The members assigned are a form of readiness for all elements involved in securing the village head election in Majalengka Regency in 2023," he said.

He added that the simultaneous village head elections in 2023 in Majalengka Regency were held in 23 sub-districts, 64 villages, and 167 village head candidates participated.
With the number of voters fixed, said Indra, there were 196,205 people with 466 polling stations (TPS) and 205,159 ballots.
he admitted that the level of vulnerability was quite high so that officers would provide a sense of security to the community by maintaining a conducive atmosphere in the area.
"We hope that the simultaneous village head elections in 2023 will run safely, smoothly, and conducively," he said.
