Palu Police Seize 3.7 Tons Of Avtur Fuel Allegedly Illegal
PALU - Polresta Palu, Central Sulawesi, confiscated 3.7 tons of fuel oil (BBM) type avtur which was suspected to be illegal on Thursday (25/5).
"Initially on Thursday, May 25, 2023, the Palu Police Satreskrim Team received information regarding the supply of fuel oil (BBM) from outside Palu City," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palu Police AKP Ferdinand E Numbery in Palu as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.
He explained that based on the information obtained, the fuel was accommodated and stored in one of the boarding houses on Jalan Batako, Duyu Village, Tatanga District, Palu City.
From this information, he said, the fuel was sold to kiosks in the city by admitting that the fuel was a type of kerosene.
"Following up on this information, we checked the location in question and the Palu Police Satreskrim Team found several jerry cans and drums that were still filled with fuel," he said.
With this discovery, he said, the Palu Police then conducted an interrogation of the owner of the fuel with the initials BS and EH.
Based on the results of the interrogation, the husband and wife admitted that the fuel was a type of avtur from a person with the initials SM who lived in the Makassar area for resale.

The evidence that was secured was 3.7 tons of fuel, including 51 jerry cans of 35 liters of filling capacity, eight drums of iron with a capacity of 200 liters, two plastic drums with a capacity of 200 liters, 136 empty jerry cans, each measuring 35 liters.
Then 22 empty drums made of iron, one unit of the Shimitzube brand pump machine and a hose, two funnels and a hose, two blocks of sales note, and IDR 750 thousand in cash.
"Currently, we are still conducting investigations and conducting laboratory tests on the evidence found," he said.
Currently, his party will conduct examinations of witnesses, both around the crime scene (TKP) as well as buyers and suppliers of fuel.
