The Origin Of The Mayor Of Pangkalpinang Will Be Traced By The KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that it would check the assets belonging to the Mayor of Pangkalpinang Maulan Akil. The effort was carried out following up on the results of the clarification of the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) on Wednesday, May 17.
"KPK will send a team to Pangkalpinang to investigate the origin of asset ownership," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 23.
The assets called Pahala will be checked are shophouses, oil palm plantations, and boarding houses. He said, all of them had been reported in the LHKPN but the KPK felt the need to go to the field.
"If you say how big the boarding houses are, how much is the income. If in the plantation how much does he have, how much does he earn," he said.
Furthermore, all the results of the assessment will be validated with Maulan's banking data. The KPK will also explore transactions out and into its banking activities.
"So we want to validate the information we get from the person concerned, and from the banking data we have obtained, the financial transactions go in and out," said Pahala.
