SEA Games 2023 Contingent Champion Carnival, Menpora: Real Evidence No Discrimination For Athletes

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) is home to all Indonesian sports fighters and the champion of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games Contingent is one proof.

"This is clear evidence that there is no discrimination against athletes, and vice versa, we try to learn to cultivate and show great pride and appreciation for Indonesian sports fighters, without exception or discrimination," said Dito quoting Antara.

"Seeing the enthusiasm of the community for the victory of the U-22 national team, initially PSSI intended to hold a parade. Then the Ministry of Youth and Sports welcomed and offered to be merged, because the Ministry of Youth and Sports initially also took the initiative to hold a similar event attended by all sports. The route was agreed to start from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to the HI Roundabout and return to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. That there are several sports that have the initiative to separate themselves, such as PSSI which continues to GBK and Perbasi which continues to Senayan Park, that's all right," he added.

Regarding vehicles, continued Dito, it is purely a technical problem, because Jakarta only has one open roof bus, and it has been booked by PSSI, so the Kemenpora provides options for parade bus facilities and is supported by the West Java Provincial Government, Bandung City Government and Bogor City Government.

"But we feel that it has not at all affected the euphoria of the people who welcomed the 2023 SEA Games Contingent who returned home. This Order belongs to all contingents and people who are enthusiastic about welcoming them!" said Dito asserted.

Dito added that it is quite natural that there is more excitement towards one or maybe several sports and he emphasized that there is no census for all who come, but he believes that enthusiasm is for all who have brought the best achievements for Indonesia.

"We are the overall champion of sports, there are seven, and there are four or five we have made history, for example, women's basketball, 32 years of football, men's hockey for once in a lifetime can be golden, our cricket is new, and athletics in the 4x100 meter number as well after 12 years of new gold. So in the SEA Games there are so many targets that have not been exceeded for a long time can finally be achieved, whose peak is the gold medal which is the highest gold medal in the last 20 years.
