Governor Wants To Cheat In Bengkulu PPDB Zoning System To Be Strictly Actioned

BENGKULU - Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah warned that he would take firm action against anyone who cheats to circumvent the entry requirements of new students (PPDB), which is related to the zoning system. "At the previous PPDB I found that there was one family card near the school having 50 children. This doesn't make sense, let alone it's a school that has been established for a long time, like in the city center," said Rohidin in Bengkulu, Friday, May 19, which was confiscated by Antara. Schools located in the city center are usually not many more residents' houses, because it is no longer a residential location and even if there is one left only a resident's house that has been living for a long time, long before the formation of city centers. "It is impossible for a new person to buy land around the city center for housing, and the land there is also limited (because it has become a city center building and other agencies or activities), not for housing," said the governor. It means that residents who have a city center house are old, and it is strange if they still have small children who are still in school. "On average, if there are new people who usually do not live in such a central area, more on the outskirts (city), in a housing complex," he said.

The governor also asked the population and civil registration offices to be more selective in seeing the conditions for moving people's domicile, especially for children aged in school. Children who separate family cards from their parents must be checked more carefully before being approved by the adminduk to move their domicile." Their actions are detrimental to the surrounding community, for example, dozens who entrusted their children to the KK residents whose homes are 50 meters from school, making children who actually live around the school fail to enter because their homes are a little further, such as 500 meters," he said.
