1 Soldier Shot Dead By KKB, Papuan Police Chief Asks TNI-Polri In Puncak Siaga Regency
Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fakhiri asked members of the TNI-Polri who served in Puncak Regency to be on standby following the shooting of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) today Friday, May 19. Fakhiri said the shooting carried out by the KKB led by Numbuk Telenggen killed TNI soldiers. The incident occurred in Wako Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
"It is true that there were reports that TNI soldiers were shot dead by KKB in Puncak Regency, during a shootout with KKB," he said in Jayapura, Papua, Friday, May 19.
Based on the report he received, Fakhiri explained that the shootout that killed Praka Jamaluddin occurred at around 12.00 WIT in the PT MTT area.

"From the reports received, the bodies have been evacuated to the Ilaga Hospital," said Fakhiri, quoted by Antara.
The Papua Police Chief admitted that currently members of the TNI-Polri are on standby to anticipate further disturbances.
