This Is A Damaged Road In North Sumatra That Will Be Repaired By The Central Government
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 is aimed at handling damaged non-national roads and increasing regional road availability throughout Indonesia through APBN assistance.
Jalan Gunting Saga - Teluk Binjei (North Labuanbatu/Labura, North Sumatra) along the 50's kilometers is one of the proposed regional roads to be handled through the Regional Road Inpres in the 2023 Fiscal Year," Basuki said after accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to review the damage to regional roads in North Sumatra (North Sumatra), North Labuanbatu, North Sumatra, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
The Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 is related to the Acceleration of Increasing Regional Road Connectivity.
In his explanation via a short message received in Jakarta, Wednesday night, Basuki explained that apart from the Saga Gunting section - Binjei Bay, regional roads in North Sumatra which were also proposed to finance the state budget include Teluk Binjei - Tanjung Leidong Road in North Labuhanbatu Regency and Sei Rakyat - Sei Beronbang Street in Labuhanbatu Regency.
"The three sections are proposed to be handled in order to increase access to agricultural and plantation production centers from community activity centers in North Sumatra," he said.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo said that in the North Sumatra region there are 2,600 kilometers (km) of national roads, of which 260 km, of which were damaged. Then from 3,005 km of provincial roads, 340 km of which were damaged.

"Many of these district roads are damaged. Of the 33,000 km, about 13,000 km of damaged roads, one of which is in Labura. Here there are 13 km, then to Tanjung Leidong there are 17 km with the same situation as this," said President Jokowi.
According to President Jokowi, repairs to damaged roads in North Sumatra will soon be carried out and will be divided between the central and regional governments.
"This is what we will fix immediately. It starts at the latest in July. And everything in North Sumatra remains the same, we divide something that the Governor does, something is done by the Regent. Some are taken over by the Center for sections that are about the provincial, district or city governments do not have the ability to do it," said President Jokowi.
