Acting Governor Of DKI Asks His Staff To Prepare Jakarta To Become A Global Business City
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked his staff to prepare Jakarta to face changes to a global business city after no longer holding as the State Capital (IKN).
"We have to prepare all of this, the right order, the right thought, for Jakarta to continue to progress into a global city (business) and continue to exist, to become a fairly good investment. That's a domestic situation in Jakarta," Heru said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
Today, Heru gathered all his staff, namely echelon I, echelon II, along with the main directors of Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD).
"I deliberately gathered the first thing today is that Jakarta will be faced with an IKN concern position. It's not easy, we have to position ourselves and this change is ongoing," said Heru.
In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government together with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) are currently working on the Draft Law (RUU) of Jakarta Specialties to follow up on the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan.
According to Heru, currently Jakarta will be faced with the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) which could have changed some when Jakarta was no longer IKN.

Therefore, Heru wants Jakarta to exist or be known as an investment city after not becoming an IKN.
According to him, there is a lot to prepare. For example, making decisions is not only in Jakarta. Making decisions must be together with other local governments (local governments) that are close to DKI.
"There are Bekasi, Bogor, Depok. Then an example of health problems, transportation problems, stunting problems," said Heru.
