Cak Imin Believes Golkar Will Not Join The PDIP Coalition
JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin believes the Golkar Party will not join the PDI-P coalition in the 2024 presidential election.
Cak Imin made this statement in response to the discourse of joining the "yellow party" to the PDI-P to support Ganjar Pranowo's presidential candidate.
"I'm sure Golkar won't support PDIP. I'm sure," said Cak Imin, interviewed by reporters as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
Even so, Cak Imin did not give further statements regarding his belief that Golkar would not join the PDI-P.
"Yes, believe. His name is also sure," said Cak Imin briefly.
It is known that PKB and Golkar agreed to build a core coalition as a follow-up to the discourse on forming a major coalition.
Regarding the core coalition, Cak Imin said that his party communicates every day with Golkar. He said the core coalition was working on the development of coalitions and pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.
"Yes, we are still in the process, it's dynamic. Hopefully in June there will be crystallization," said Cak Imin.

Previously, the Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, gave a yellow party signal that he would join the coalition of candidates for Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
This was conveyed by Puan after the DPR Plenary Meeting for the Opening of Trial Period V for Session Year 2022-2023, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/5).
"Wearing a yellow shirt," said Gerindra Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco, who was standing beside Puan when asked by the media about whether there was another party that wanted to be tied up.
When asked further about the yellow party, Puan was reluctant to explain which party was meant. Because, there are several parties that have yellow elements, such as Golkar, Gerindra, Hanura and others.
"It can be, that's how strategy is, it's secret, you can't tell, but like Pak Dasco said today it's yellow," said Puan.
On the other hand, Golkar Secretary General Lodewijk F Paulus said Golkar is currently still undergoing friendship and communicating with the PDI-P.
"In fact, we are still in touch. This is another road, we just want to talk about it after this," said Lodewijk.
