New Record For COVID-19 Cases In Jakarta
JAKARTA - The increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 20 broke a record with an additional 3,786 cases. There was an increase in the total positive cases from 232,289 cases to 236,075 cases.
Based on data from the corona.jakarta.go.id page, the addition of 3,786 cases on Wednesday, January 20 exceeds the record for the addition of the previous cases that occurred on Saturday, January 16, totaling 3,536 cases.
The addition of 3,786 cases this Wednesday was the result of the PCR swab test the day before, namely on Tuesday, January 19, with 2,901 positive cases.
Meanwhile, the other 885 cases came from examinations at a BUMN hospital in the last three days and from a TNI hospital in the last seven days.
The PCR test on January 19, 2021 itself, has details of the tests carried out on 17,815 specimens. Of these tests, 15,218 people were recently tested for PCR to diagnose new cases with 2,901 positive results and 12,317 negative results.
Based on these data, the increase of 3,786 cases this Wednesday, is still below the increase of 3,536 cases on Saturday, January 16, in the case finding category of daily test results that will indeed be reported on that day.
During the week, the addition of daily positive cases was 3,786 cases this Wednesday, the highest compared to the addition on Tuesday (19/1) of 2,563 cases.
On Monday (18/1) there were 2,361 cases, on Sunday (17/1) there were 3,395 cases, on Friday (1/15) there were 2,541 people, on Thursday (1/14) there were 3,165 people, on Wednesday (13/1), there were 3,476 cases.
Then on Tuesday (12/1) there were 2,669 cases, including the addition and on Saturday (16/1) there were 3,536 people, which was the highest increase in cases during the pandemic.
Of the number of patients recovered from exposure to Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 1,745 people increased, causing the total number of patients to recover from 209,238 people, to 210,983 people.
With the addition of 1,745 recovered patients, a total of 210,983 patients recovered, which is about 89.4 percent (down from 90.1 percent previously) of the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 at this time of 236,075 cases.

From the number of tests, DKI Jakarta recorded the percentage of positive cases based on the number of tests or the "positivity rate" of COVID-19 during the past week in Jakarta after its development this Wednesday, which was recorded at 16.7 percent (up from 16.4 percent previously).
This figure is very far above the percentage limit set by the World Health Organization (WHO) in a week for a region, which requires the percentage of no more than five percent to be categorized as a safe area.
