Charta Politica Survey: 61 Percent Of Jokowi-Ma'ruf Voters Choose Ganjar In The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The survey results from Charta Politica Indonesia showed that 61 percent of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 presidential election said they would elect Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.

"Of the total Jokowi-Ma'ruf voters, it turns out that 61 percent of them stated that they chose Ganjar Pranowo as president in the 2024 presidential election," said Executive Director of Charta Politica Indonesia Yunarto Wijaya in the release of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey entitled "Electoral Dynamics Post-The U-20 World Cup and Batu Tulis Declaration", as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 15.

Meanwhile, Yunarto continued, of all Jokowi-Ma'ruf voters who took part in the survey, another 18 percent stated that they would elect Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and another 14 percent chose former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

"Next, those who don't answer or don't know are 7 percent," he said.

The survey was conducted on May 2, 2023 through face-to-face interviews with 1,220 respondents who were at least 17 years old or had met the requirements as voters and spread across all provinces in Indonesia.

The determination of the sample was carried out by a multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of the survey of around 2.82 percent.
