South Jakarta Metro Police Reveals 3 Cases Of Violence Against Children, Decreased April To May
JAKARTA The South Jakarta Metro Police revealed three cases of violence against minors during April to May 2023. Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Hendrikus Yossy, explained that of the three cases, two of them were cases of rape. One of the perpetrators is the victim's stepfather.
"3 cases, 3 victims. 2 intercourse with children, 1 violence against children," Hendrikus told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday, May 11.
"This rape case was allegedly carried out by a stepfather to a trader around the victim's house complex. The modus operandi is not to use the lure but to persuade," he continued.

Hendrikus Yossy explained that children who were victims of forced violence have now been given psychological assistance by the PPA unit.
"We provide services starting from psychology, social, we also assist. We also cooperate with friends from the PPA unit," he said.
