Police Order Tin Ore Illegal Mine In West Bangka's Jungku Waters
West Bangka Resort Police together with personnel from the Polairud Directorate of the Bangka Belitung Islands Police have brought order to illegal tin ore mining activities in the waters of Jungku Village, Mentok District for violating mining regulations.
"The control at the location is a follow-up to the information received by personnel regarding illegal mining activities in the waters," said Head of the West Bangka Police Unit, Iptu Sugiyanto, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 11.
According to him, the control was carried out by a number of personnel from the West Bangka Police Polair Unit together with personnel from the Batang-311 Dit Polairud Baharkam Polri by visiting illegal miners in the waters.
At a direct meeting with miners at that location, the police gave an appeal to miners to stop all mining activities working in the waters of Jungku Village, Mentok.
"We first give an appeal to miners to immediately stop operations because there is no permit from the authorities," he said.
The miners are also reminded not to carry out mining activities in the future and if mining is still found, strict action will be taken according to applicable regulations.

"For miners who work to violate the rules, we will take firm action and tomorrow there must be no more activities," he said.
Strict action against illegal mining activities is in accordance with Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and coal, and those who violate will be subject to a maximum imprisonment of five years with a fine of Rp. 100 billion.
