Up 107 Percent, Menparekraf Calls Dubai 2023 ATMs Resulting In Potential 58,958 Transaction Taxes
JAKARTA - Indonesia's participation in the 2023 Arabian Travel Mart (ATM) has a positive value where the total potential reaches 58,958 tax, an increase of 107 percent from the initial target.
In Dubai 2023 ATM activities which took place on May 1-4, 2023, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) has collaborated with 41 tourism industries.
Based on an initial survey of industry players, there was a target of potential transactions of 55,000 paxes that focused on high-value travelers.
"It turned out that the results exceeded the target, because the total number of potential pax was 58,958 with foreign exchange (potential) of Rp1.36 trillion," said Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno in a written statement, quoted on Tuesday, May 9.
Participation of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in Dubai ATMs this year for the 20th time with the theme "Visit Indonesia 2023: Explore Our New Economy Destinations".
"This certainly reflects a positive trend in the context of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy reaching the target of 8.5 million foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in 2023," said Sandiaga.
In addition to promoting the Goodminton Indonesia brand and five Super Priority Destinations at the Dubai 2023 ATM, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also inaugurated the Indonesia Corner Monument at the Wafi City Mall Dubai on May 1, 2023.
This activity is a follow-up to the signing of the MoU between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and VFS Global on March 29, 2023.

This collaboration is to explore the possibility of collaborating in Indonesia's tourism promotion activities using the Emirates network.
"Finally, it is hoped that it can increase the number of foreign tourist visits so that they can achieve the national visit target of 8.5 million foreign tourists in 2023," Sandiaga concluded.
