Camila Cabello Makes Healing Justice Project To Support Mental Health
JAKARTA - Singer Camila Cabello created a new project called Healing Justice Project. This non-profit organization collaborates with the Movement Voter Fund to focus on mental health support.
Launching The Hollywood Reporter today, January 20, the Senorita singer is committed to continuing to donate.
Later, this money will be used to support activists to deal with their mental health for six months.
The Healing Justice Project was initiated by Cabello after discussing with California surgeon Nadine Burke Harris about the term toxic stress, a condition in which the body responds to the system after someone experiences trauma and events that change their lives.
These incidents include abuse, neglect, violence and poverty. Camila Cabello herself as a public figure faced similar things when her racist posts in 2012 and 2013 spread on the internet in December 2019.
Cabello also did not forget to apologize for the inappropriate use of the word in the past. He promised to use social media to talk about injustice and imbalance.
"I spent these years and time in the midst of the pandemic reflecting, learning what I have done to the systems and rules that oppress others," said Camila Cabello.
Girlfriend Shawn Mendes and the Movement Voter Fund will give this money to 10 activist organizations to heal the traumatized feelings of discrimination they feel.
