Bima Arya Meets Heru Budi, Discusses Transjakarta-Transpakauan To Join Bogor Residents To Jakarta

Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya visited the DKI Jakarta City Hall to meet the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. The two regional heads held a meeting for about an hour.

After the meeting, Heru explained the discussion material between himself and Bima. One of them, the DKI Provincial Government and the Bogor City Government plan to cooperate in connecting transportation modes that will take Bogor residents to Jakarta.

This collaboration will be established by Transjakarta as a regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) of DKI and Transpakuan as Bogor BUMD.

"There are several things that we discussed related to transportation. We have discussed the existence of density (mobility). We want connectivity between Jakarta and Bogor again," said Heru at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, May 4.

Currently, the cooperation scheme between Transjakarta and Transpakuan has not been discussed comprehensively. The plan is for the Transpakuan bus to become a feeder to take residents from Bogor to Cibubur, East Jakarta.

Furthermore, Transjakarta will pick up passengers arriving from Bogor in Cibubur to take them to the middle of the city of Jakarta or to the destination location.

"This is an additional route service from the Mayor of Bogor to Cibubur. We pick him up, connect him in Cibubur to enter the city of Jakarta," explained Heru.

Furthermore, Heru said that his party is currently applying for a permit for transportation cooperation between Transjakarta and Transpakan to the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) of the Ministry of Transportation.

This collaboration is targeted to start implementing in December. However, if possible, the DKI Provincial Government and the Bogor City Government hope that its implementation can start as soon as possible to reduce the density of the Commuter Line KRL which is the main mode of public transportation for Jabodetabek.

"Because Commuter is also limited in capacity. There are still many who use the Jagorawi toll road. If you help with buses, right, it is very effective," he said.
