Already Paid Rp10 Thousand, Monas Visitors' Motorcycle Stolen Wild In Front Of The Ministry Of SOEs
The Gambir Metro Police have arrested the perpetrator of the motorcycle theft in the parking lot in front of the Ministry of SOEs, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir District, Central Jakarta. The perpetrator is known as Syawal Lubis, a resident of Tanah Abang.
Gambir Metro Police Chief Kompol Mugia Yarry Junanda said the perpetrator was a wild jukir who actually committed theft at a roadside illegal parking location.
The incident began when the two victims named Septiyanti and Rasjono, her husband came to Monas intending to walk around using a Honda Scoopy motorcycle with the number B 6530 VKM. Both of them also parked their motorbike in the illegal parking lot in front of the Ministry of SOEs guarded by perpetrators Syawal Lubis.
The perpetrator advised the victim not to lock the handlebar on the grounds that it was easy to move. The perpetrator was also asked for parking money worth Rp. 10 thousand. After paying, the victim and her husband left the motorbike to Monas.
But when the two victims were about to go home, they came to the motorcycle parking lot. Both were surprised when they saw that their motorbike was no longer at the location.

Rasjono then asked Ferdy, a witness, regarding the whereabouts of his motorbike. Witness Ferdy also stated that recently someone pushed a motorbike whose characteristics were mentioned by the victim's husband towards Jalan Sabang. Rasjono, the victim's husband immediately asked the witness to help chase the perpetrator who pushed the victim's motorbike.
"Not long after, the victim's husband and the witness looked for the victim's motorbike towards Jalan Sabang, the victim's motorbike was found before the Sabang red light," said Kompol Mugia, Sunday, April 30.
After finding his motorbike, the victim immediately shouted "thief" at the perpetrator. Upon the screams, the perpetrator was secured and handed over to the Gambir Metro Police.
"The evidence that was secured was Scoopy's motorbike along with the driver's license and ignition belonging to the victim. The perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code," he said.
