Australian Citizen Ludhi Imam Mosque In Bandung Named As Suspect, Threatened With 1.5 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - An Australian citizen named Brenton Craig Abbas Abdullah Mcarthur (48) was arrested by a Special Class 1 Immigration Office TPI Soekarno Hatta on Saturday, April 29 yesterday.
The perpetrator was arrested at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Departure, Tangerang.
The perpetrator was arrested spat on the face of M Basri Anwar, an Imam of the Al-Muhajir Mosque, Bandung City, West Java.
Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) of the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ibnu Chuldun, confirmed the arrest.
The flight delay against foreigners was based on the Bandung Polrestabes letter.
"The person concerned has No.Passport: PB5489524 to 06 November 2030. The person concerned will depart using Qantas Airways aircraft with flight number QF40 to Melbourne," said Ibnu Chuldun when confirmed, Sunday, April 30.
After receiving the information, the Immigration Officer then postponed the departure of the person concerned.
"The perpetrator was secured by the Rikos Unit 1 of the Immigration Office. Then the perpetrator and his passport were handed over to the Bandung Police," he said.

Meanwhile, Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono said the perpetrators of this unpleasant act and insults would be sentenced to 1.5 years in prison.
"Currently, they are still being asked for information at the Polrestabes, for their status they are already suspects," he said, Sunday, April 30.
