After Launching The Galaxy S21, Samsung Quietly Stopped Selling The S20
JAKARTA - For some manufacturers such as Apple, the launch of a new model does not mean that the previous model is no longer available for sale. You can still buy the previous model and it could be at a lower price.
However, it is different from Samsung. After the South Korean company announced the launch of the Galaxy S21 series, you can no longer buy any Galaxy S20 series models from the Samsung official website.
If you visit the official Samsung site now, the only Galaxy S20 phone you can buy is the Galaxy S20 FE. However the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra series are all empty stock. On the site of India, England and China, it is the same.
This new change will certainly disappoint those who thought they could get last year's flagship phone at a more affordable price tag because now there are new models.
In addition, another reason is the sluggish sales of the Galaxy S20 series due to the endemic to the Corona virus which is increasingly widespread, paralyzing several industrial sectors. In his hometown, the Galaxy S20 only sold 70,800 units on the first day of sales.
This amount is only half of the sales of the Galaxy S10 two years ago. At that time, the Galaxy S10 sold 140,000 units when the sales tap was first opened.
This figure is even further compared to the Galaxy Note 10 Plus which sold 220,000 units on the first day of sales three years ago in South Korea.
Even though Samsung no longer officially sells its predecessor phones, it is hoped that third-party sellers will still sell them. What do you think about Samsung's decision to abruptly remove the previous series in less than 1 year?
